Come Into Your Own is a 16-page zine born from the emotional fallout of waking up to the truth: I had been raised in a cult. In 2020, the carefully constructed worldview I had always known collapsed, leaving me grasping for identity and terrified of losing my family to shunning.
This zine became my way of sorting through the chaos. With raw drawings, handwriting, and digital processing, it captures the paradox of pain and liberation that comes with breaking free from a high-control group. I printed 22 copies on my inkjet printer and gave each a holographic cover, debossed with the title using a stamp I 3D printed myself. Holographic foil has become my symbol for how truth is never one thing, but shifts based on our perceptions.
